Wasn't to sure what to think when we first pulled up, not the nicest place or area, but the food was actually very good. The dry garlic ribs is a must!!!! I have never had such good dry garlic ribs. The baked and steamed buns are very yummy! But my favourite is definitely the sweat sesame balls!! Sooooo good! Will definitely be going back to try more on either menu, would definitely recommend this place to friends and family! :)

They have changed the siopao asado recipe. The sauce is lighter now and there’s more fat inside. It used to taste way better.

Great store, been going since I was 5 years old every time I visit Vancouver. Unfortunately, it’s becoming too expensive lately.

Late lunch with family! We had hototay soup; chicken mami (noodle soup); pancit bihon guisado (stirfry noodles); mushrooms with mixed veggies (dish comes with tofu but today they ran out); halo-halo (dessert). DINE IN Service 4/5 (tea was refilled), server brought us extra bowls and a serving spoon coz that was missing Flavours 4/5 Speed of Food coming to the table 5/5 The stirfry noodle was quite salty; both soups were fine but hototay had a nice depth of flavour. The mushroom veggie dish was tasty and I really missed the tofu (unavailable); halo halo was ok. TAKE OUT (not pictured) Ordered bola-bola (pork ball with egg and Chinese BBQ) and asado (pork) steamed buns; an egg pie; coconut bread. All these bakery goodies were amazing and the Flavours are 5/5!

Wonderful place, but: This place brings back childhood memories and nostalgic food. This according to that basis is a fantastic place however if you are walking in cold with no memories of that type of food or surrounding then it may not work for you. If you do and the menu reminds you of your growing up and earlier years, then this is the best possible place to be. Each bite is pure happiness. The steamed buns are really spectacular, don't forget the special sweet sauce. Enjoy!

Their buns are "oh so good!!". It's the way how the "Siopao" tasted back in the Philippines. My personal favorite: Bola2x and Asado. All the pastries are perfect. I also love the peanut palitaw here. The only downside for me so far is they only accept cash. I wish they would accept cards as I don't like handling cash during this pandemic. Their pastries are a bit pricy but well, it's really good too. Quality always come with a price.

This is the best place for Filipino siopao and pancit guisado. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the warm smiles of the friendly staff who truly make you feel at home. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly their famous BBQ pork buns—soft, fluffy, and bursting with flavor. I also indulged in their delectable steamed dumplings, which were perfectly cooked and incredibly fresh. The crispy spring rolls were a fantastic appetizer, with just the right amount of crunch. Don’t miss out on their incredible pastries, either! The egg tarts are a must-try; they’re creamy, sweet, and the crust is just divine. While parking can be a bit tricky during rush hours, it’s absolutely worth it for the delicious food and welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend New Town Bakery and Restaurant to everyone looking for a delightful dining experience!

Highly recommended! The excellent customer service from the hardworking staff is truly appreciated. The food is delicious, and this place is always bustling - a testament to its popularity, especially for its famous Siopao, a favorite among Filipino food lovers. Be prepared for a line, but it's well worth the wait!
